The Learning Curve Woman was founded on the belief that a period of transition is required for all women seeking a clear understanding of themselves and their purpose, and that without these understandings they cannot truly live a fulfilled life. Unfortunately, many women bypass this process of self-discovery, resulting in their uncertainty or unhappiness in their current lives (for example, displeasure with their jobs/careers, poor choices in men, poor physical and mental health, etc.).
The mission of the The Learning Curve Woman is to encourage women to enter into this period of transition as a means of gaining self-knowledge, purpose and happiness. This process is formed around what has come to be known as the “Six Areas of Understanding.” These are the core components that make up a person’s identity and dictate their lifestyle… Passion, Career, Faith, Mind, Body and Relationships. Each one of these areas are directly aligned and feed into one another. Therefore, discontent or lack of understanding in one area can have a negative impact on one or more of the other areas. The Learning Curve Woman is a support system designed to assist women through this process, offering structure, guidance and support during what should be one of the most significant periods of their lives.
Passion: Everyone has a passion or a dream. We also need the courage to pursue them.
What are my strengths and talents?
What do I dream about doing or being?
Are their things/activities in my life that fulfill me and give me purpose?
What are the ways in which I can connect my purpose, strengths, talents and dreams?
Career: We all deserve a career we love. Essentially, the ultimate goal is to build a career that connects with our passion(s) and gives us purpose.
Is my career fulfilling? Is this the career I dreamed of?
What obstacles are preventing me from pursuing my dream career?
How can I connect my dreams, talents and resources to create a career plan?
Faith: We all need a connection with a spiritual power. This should be our ultimate source of strength and support.
Do I have a connection to a higher power?
How do I feed my spirit?
How do I incorporate faith into my life and daily routine?
How can I strengthen my spiritual connection?
Mind: We all need peace. We all need mental stimulation. Our peaceful moments should greatly outweigh our crazy ones.
Do I possess a high sense of self-love, acceptance and efficacy?
What is my baggage? Is it preventing my growth or progress in other areas of my life?
Am I confident in my abilities and strengths?
Am I living a lifestyle that ensures my growth and sustains my mental health?
Body: We all should love our bodies, we should treat them with respect, nourish them and have a routine or plan for doing so.
Do I like or love my body?
Am I taking care of my body?
Am I physically healthy?
Do I have a plan to maintain or work towards physical health?
Relationships: Love and support are essential to our happiness. We all need healthy relationships in our lives. We also need clear definitions and understandings of what healthy relationships are.
Do I have a strong understanding of what a healthy relationship looks like?
Do I have a strong support network?
Are their relationships that I need to repair or eliminate from my life?
Do I have “relationship baggage” or challenges?
What are the issues that I need to confront before I can have a healthy romantic relationship?
